So its now a reality! I have a place in the Ride London 100 mile cycle ride on August 4th riding for Prostate Cancer UK and in memory of my Dad who suffered with the disease for a number of years. I received my fundrasing pack today from Prostate Cancer UK, so as I say it is real now and as their website says only 187 days to go........eeek!
I am reasonably confident of the distance but never doing things by half I also want to average 15mph for the distance which would bring me in in around 6hrs 30mins. My longest distance to date has been just over 50 miles averaging 14.2mph so a lot of work to do over those 187 days especially as I struggled round 21 miles this morning - I blame the wind....
